The GFA league champions, Gambia Ports Authority, on Friday, drew 1-1 with the FA Cup giants, Hawks, in the opening match of the Banjul pre-season tournament staged in the name of late Eda Carr, a former football legend.

The grand opening was witnessed by hundreds of sports enthusiasts and the elite dignitaries in the sports strata.

In the Saturday fixture, Young African and Real de Banjul also went home one point apiece after a fiery 1-1 draw.

At the time of going to press last night, Wallidan FC were entertaining Hawks in another Group B match.
