Saudi Ambassador presents credence to Jammeh

Dr Shaye Ben Ibrahim Alkhoshiban, the newly appointed plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to The Gambia, yesterday, presented his letter of credence to President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh at State House, Banjul.

Speaking to journalists shortly after his audience with President Jammeh, Ambassador Ibrahim Alkhosliban said he discussed issues concerning the bilateral relationship existing between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and The Gambia. He said that their discussion also focused on the economic development of The Gambia, and other issues revolving around the infrastructural development of the country.

He said: “We need to work hand-in-glove as sister countries. I also came with a letter and a gift from the King of Saudi Arabia, which I handed over to President Jammeh. We have also discussed the economic development in which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a great role to play. Our relationship is very cordial and we would like to foster this for the betterment of the two countries”.
