12 Months for Notorious Lawbreaker

Magistrate Kayeodi of the Banjul Magistrates’ Court has imposed a twelve-month mandatory jail term on Saikou Njie, a notorious lawbreaker.

Saikou was found guilty of stealing a plastic bag from a car at the Banjul Car Park and the bag was at the time containing some apparel.

Meanwhile before handing down his judgement, Magistrate Kayoedi lamented that it was regrettable that Saikou had made a profession out of crime and efforts to reform him could not regrettably bear any fruit.
