The GFA First Division giants, Gambia Ports Authority have named Alhaji Mass Axi Gai, secretary of state for Youth and Sports, as the club’s honourary life president.

SoS Gai’s appointment letter which was signed by Mr Momodou Lamin Gibba, managing director of Gambia Ports Authority, was accompanied by a giant tv screen and a Ports Authority plague reflecting the dethroned league champions’ appreciation for the tireless support rendered by the former GFA second-vice president during his tenure as the club’s president.

Meanwhile, the Ferry Boys have named Mr Ousman Jobarteh as new president of the club. Mr Jobarteh’s elevation came shortly after the appointment of Ebrima Cham, commonly known as Lukey, as the club’s  coach as they prepare for the 2008 CAF Confederation Cup competition.
