Boost for RVTH, others

Bon Powell’s Gambia School and Health Projects last week donated medical equipment and learning materials to Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) and the Regional Education Office of Region one at a ceremony held in Banjul and Brikama, respectively.

Receiving the medical items on behalf of RVTH, Alhagie Baboucarr Ngum, Public Relations Officer of the RVTH, said his institution really appreciate the efforts of Bob Powell’s, adding that the materials came at a time when they are most needed by the hospital.

He assured the donors that the materials will be put into good use, commending the organisation for what he described as their relentless support to the health sector of The Gambia.

Speaking on behalf of the donors, Abdoul Aziz Colley said they will continue to support the health sector as the head of the state is very much concerned about health sector. He thanked the executive committee of the RVTH, especially Dr Malick Njie for their commitment.

Receiving the educational items, the Principal Education Officer Region One, Mr. Gibriel Bah expressed appreciation for the gesture, and then assured them that the materials will be propertly utilised.
