Slok Air Int’l Sponsors Gambians in Continental Beauty Contest

Slok Air International has again sponsored contestants from The Gambia in the 6th MISS NAIADES BEATY CONTEST.

“This is a Continental Contest which takes place annually in Cotonou, Benin Republic, with contestants from all over Africa,” a press release from Slok Air has stated.

According to the release, the Beauty Contest will take place on 9 February 2007, and the Gambian contestants are Miss Amie Khan and Miss Aminata Ceesay.

They are accompanied by their Chairperson Hajaratu Adu Lette Sy.

The contingent left Banjul on Sunday, 4 February 2007 for Accra, Ghana, on Slok Air International flight SO104 on the first leg of their journey to Cotonou. They are expected to return on Sunday, 10 February 2007.

A Gambian, Miss Fatoumata Kijera, was first runner-up in the 2004 competition.

She is currently the Face of Slok Air International and is also employed at the Customer Services Department of the Airline.
