‘Go for Africa’ Donates Boka Loho Skills Training

A Holland-based charitable organisation ‘Go for Africa’ recently donated vehicles and educational equipment to the Boka Loho Skills Training Centre at the centre ground in Abuko. The donated equipment include mechanical tools, computer sets, and stationery that would help facilitate the learning process and activities of the centre.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony, the principal, Baboucarr Sinayako thanked the donors for the wonderful and timely gesture adding that the link, hopefully will continue and grow to higher heights.

He promised that the materials and the vehicles will be utilised to the benefit of the centre and the students as well.

“ The gesture will go a long way to ease the educational , the managerial and administrative process of the centre” he concluded.

Speaking earlier, Alhagie Saho, the Gambia partner and facilitator of the project said they are impressed with the management and administration the centre that was read through a brochure communicated and dispatched to the community.

He said the organisation advented by land from Holland to Gambia within 19 days about 7000km with 21 vehicles distributed to various institutions countrywide developing education but other areas such as Health, sport and Agriculture will be considered in the ensuring years.

According to him, the centre promoted gender equlaity and help in alleviating poverty in the country commending the centre for the positive suit followed.

Among other beneficiaries are GTTI –Banjul and Kanifing, Littels Tree- Gambia Scout, Mansakonko Basic Cycle,Jarra Soma Scout and Fajara skills centre receives similar donations.
