The Gambia National Lottery, GNL, last Friday presented a cheque for D502,700 to the winner of its Quinte jackpot.
The presentation of the cheque to lucky winner, Amar Gibriel Gaye, was done at a ceremony organized at GNL Headquarters in Banjul.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Marketing Manager of GNL, Mr. Fabakary Jammeh, reiterated GNL’s commitment to enhancing sustainable socio-economic growth in the country.
According to Mr. Jammeh, GNL will show no sign of abating in their relentless march towards creating more job opportunities for Gambian youths.
Mr. Amadou Marenah, GNL’s Chief Accountant, said the presentation of the cheque for D502,700 to the winner of their latest jackpot is enough a source of joy, adding that since the inception of GNL, never there was a time that the company’s unable to pay winners of their various lottery packages.
For his part, the lucky winner, Amar Gaye, called on the general public to try their luck with GNL.
It would be recalled that Kebba Njie, a farmer from Jiffarong in Kiang, was on 27 July 2007, paid D51,000 after winning the Monday Quarte jackpot.
