Lebanese Community Donate To RVTH Ahead of May Day Sports

The Lebanese community in The Gambia yesterday presented a donation of T-shirts to the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital ahead of the annual May Day sports slated for next month.

The donation was handed over to the Sports Committee of the RVTH through Emad Diab, a businessman and proprietor of Ali Baba Restaurant in Banjul.

Speaking at the presentation, Ebrima Jallow, Chairman of the RVTH Sports Committee, commended the Lebanese community for their timely support noting that the RVTH is happy to be associated with the Lebanese community.

Mr. Jallow stated that every year they donate blood to the national blood transmission services of the RVTH.

He said the donation is meant to prepare RVTH ahead of the May Day Sports 2008.
