ALBS holds speech and prize giving

Albion Lower Basic School (ALBS) on Friday held its annual speech and price giving ceremony at the school ground in Banjul.

Mrs. Elizabeth Chapman the headmistress of the school boastfully outlined some of the successes and achievements her school has recently maintain in academic aspect among which she said, was the stability of the reinforcement studies after school for monthly test and terminal exams to check children’s overall academic performance and level of appreciation.

According to Mrs Chapman, progress is being  made to supervise both teachers’ and students’ work and also the cluster monitor from the regional education office in region one.  She commended the parents for their timely support in making the school a success for their own children.

Mr Ernest Anbee, National coordinator small grants programme UNDP, commended Mrs Chapman the headmistress of the school for her dynamism. He noted that, the school is one of the most developed schools in the country.  Mr Aubee spoke on the topic “thank you” from which he said is an act of appreciation for a good work done, urging pupils to use “thank you” as it is central in a religion which portrays an act of worship.  He finally thank the parents, teachers association for making the day a success.
