The North Bromsgrove High School in the United Kingdom last Thursday donated computer monitors, teaching & learning materials, wood & metal work tools, type writers, sewing machines, two electric cookers, generator and basketball hookers to Armitage Senior School in Janjangbureh, Central River Region.

The donated items worth over two hundred thousand dalasis. Receiving the items, Ebrima M Joof, the principal of the school,  expressed delight, adding that the gesture will not only complement government’s efforts but will also better equip the  students to deal with the challenges of the rapidly changing world.  He thanked the donors and assured them that the items would be put into good use.

He also seized the opportunity to challenge the students to take their learning seriously. Musa Mbenga of Janjangbureh, called on the students to read vigorously, noting that the importance of education cannot be over emphasised.  He said that there won’t be any development in the absence of education.
