The Gambia Football Coaches Association will hold its coaching course for youth development coaches and female coaches in December.
Four professional coaches will arrive from Sweden to run the coaching courses for all the members of the GFCA, and football academy coaches.
Pa Suwareh Faye, President of The Gambia Football Coaches Association, informed Pointsport that as part of the programme, their guest will arrive from Sweden on Monday December 3 and will be lodged at the Bijilo Hotel.
He said a press conference would be staged on Tuesday December 4 at the Friendship Hotel.
“We will also stage a welcome dinner and a courtesy call on Thursday December 6, to Department of State for Youth & Sports and Religious Affairs, Department of State for Education, Gambia National Olympic Committee and the Gambia Football Association,” he added.
Pa Suwareh said there would be a training course for members of the Gambia Football Coaches Association at the Independence Stadium, from 7-9 December.
He said, youth development coaches and female coaches will also be trained on Wednesday December 12 and Saturday December 15 respectively at the Independence Stadium.
He said as part of the course, there would be a football match demonstration for both male and female coaches.
Pa Suwareh Faye commended the management of Sunset Beach Hotel for sponsoring the welcome dinner, Football Digest, and a patriotic Gambian who is dedicated to the development of sports in the country.
He called on the need for more sponsorship for the smooth running of their activities.
