Drug Case Opens for Hearing

The Brikama Magistrates’ Court in Western Region had begun hearing testimonies in the trial of a certain Modou Sarr over drug charges.

Modou Sarr was reportedly arrested by drug enforcement agents in the Kombo South village of Sanyang and allegedly in possession of 40g of marijuana.

According to Abdoulie Ceesay of National Drug Enforcement Agency, the suspect was apprehended in a routine drug police raid and taken to Brikama police station where he was cautioned and charged.
