Hearts to Africa on Wednesday December 12 donates books, computers, stationery, medical equipments, and second hand clothes to 20 schools and Brikama Health Centre.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony Lamin Sanyang senior nurse at Brikama Health Centre said the items which will help them in their campaign to combat malaria.
According to Mr Sanyang this is not the first time for Hearts to Africa to donate Brikama Health Centre, although I came here last year but I have heard a lot about Hearts to Africa for their wonderful support to the Health Centre.
He thanked Heart to Africa for kind gesture and assured them that the items will put into good use.
Hermina Etienne member of Hearts to Africa Association said they are happy to give out the materials to the people who really need them.According to her they have been visiting many schools in western region in order to know their constraints and look for solutions to their problems, including some other communities within the region.
According to Miss Etienne they also support the students in order to encourage the young children to concentrate on their education.
Mr Neil White, also expressed his happiness of coming to The Gambia. “I feel happy to work at charitable organisation and donate the young children who are coming up and would be the future leaders. The more you educate the young children the more improvement you are bringing to the nation.
Fatou Njie-Secka sales and marketing manager said Hearts to Africa is been helpful to The Gambian people because they have been helping people and they are patronising the hotel, to advertising us for others to come and I guess that whats everybody is looking for business. She advise the recepients of the gestures to make good use of them.
His Excellency Ambassador for Peace Samuel Burke, thank The Gambian people for the big welcome they received. He also thank all his members for leaving all what they were doing in Uk to join him to make this things possible, and those who sponsored the trip. The members will be leaving the Gambia for Uk, tomorrow.
