Pa Sanneh and Ebrima Kinteh, both residents of Sanyang village, Kombo South, were recently paraded before Senior Magistrate EF M’Bai of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court to face allegation on conniving to rape one a little girl.
The incident was said to have occured on 28 January 2008 at Sanyang Village.
However, when the charge sheet was read to the two accused, Senior Magistrate M’Bai they adjourned the case to 11 march 2008 for them to take their plea .
Meanwhile, Magistrate M’Bai has granted them bail in the sum of D50,000 each with a Gambian as surety having a valid identity card.
He also noted that in the interest of justice, state counsel should always prosecute such cases.
Police prosecutor sub-inspector Saine represented the IGP.
