First Step Nursery School inaugurated

First Step Education Nursery School was Thursday inaugurated at Brufut Sanchaba in the Kombo North District.

The school was built at an estimated cost of one million dalasis.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ria Konings and the sponsors of the project expressed their desire to contribute immensely to education in the country as they have also sponsored nursery schools in Sanchaba Sulay Jobe and Kerr Serign, respectively. She thanked the AVI Foundation in the Netherlands through its founder Ton Van Iperen, West African Bronze and all those who supported them towards the completion of the project.
She then revealed that they are planning to build a Lower Basic School in Brufut in the near future, with the support of the community.

Speaking earlier Modou Bah, the Headmaster of the school, thanked the donors for the project and promised to take great care of the school to ensure it serves its rightful purpose.
Another speaker at the ceremony was Abbas Manneh, who spoke on behalf of the community.
The school was officially inaugurated by the Alkalo of Brufut, Alhaji Yunusa Sanno.
