Ivorian Woman killed in Lovers’ Tiff

A woman identified as Ivorian on Monday, 11th February 2008, lost her life in a lovers’ tiff in Brusubi Housing estate, this paper has been reliably informed.

Ms Wuodijie Opoue Theresa, 46, a resident of Farato village in Kombo South, reportedly went to Brusubi to visit her 34-year-old Malian boy friend, Abdou Wahab Maiga.
 
According to our sources four men including the principal suspect, Mayombeh Samuel Joel, Cameroonian, went to Abdou Wahab’s house on the fateful day around 2 a.m. and knocked at the door while the deceased was in the house with the alleged boyfriend. The moment the door was opened, the four assailants attacked Abdou Wahab and stabbed him seventeen times on his back before pouncing on Wuodijie, beating her to a state of unconsciousness.

Our sources further revealed that the attackers then carried off Ms Theresa and were later seen at the Brikama Health Centre where she was pronounced dead.

The principal suspect, Mayombeh Samuel Joel, a supposed boyfriend to Ms Theresa’s, was arrested at Denton Bridge as he accompanied the corpse in an ambulance to RVTH in Banjul.

He is currently in custody with one Pascal Moutsinga from Gabon in connection with the matter.

The remaining two accomplices, Kanini Allen and one Mr Afran, both Cameroonian, are on the run.
