I.B.C Student Union gets new executive

The Student Union of the International Business College (I.B.C), yesterday gets new executive. The handing over ceremony, which is the fourth of its kind, was held at the school premises, located in Fajara.

In his welcoming remarks, Mr Festus Ajibuwa,  principal of the school, thanked the out-going executive for the effort they put up to lift the interest of the institution. He then expressed his satisfaction towards the manner in which the electoral commission conducted the election. Mr Ajibuwa called on the incoming executive to resort to dialogue as a means of achieving their goals.

For his part, Mr Ebrima Sanneh the president of the National Student Union, said that, I.B.C has played a pivotal role in promoting the welfare of students. He seized the opportunity to  call on the students of the union to continue contributing positively towards the welfare of the students.

In a similar vein, Sulayman Bah,  out-going secretary general, informed the gathering that the activities undertaken by the  executive were always challenging.

Speaking earlier, Sidy Lamin Bah, told the students that sadness and happiness are the two that overtook him as he bade farewell to an institution that nurtured and inculcated into him the task ahead of life. He further noted that the great accomplishments made by the out-going executive, notably the student cafeteria, constitute .

Mr  Bah thanked the administration, staff and students for collaborating effectively with his team. I.B.C’s out-going student union boss informed the students that the quest for professional education is gaining momentum and competitive in The Gambia. According to him,  the students should not be left back in the crusade.

The chairman of the Electoral Commission at I.B.C Mr Godwin thanked all those who have manifested the maturity to express their choice through democracy. The election commission boss at the institute urged the coming executives to be courageous, as that is another cardinal principle of a good leader.

The incoming president,  Mr Mustapha,thanked all the students of I.B.C for propeling him into the union highest job.  He assured his predescessor and his team that the new executive will live up to expectations. He called on his fellow collegues to get together as one so as to achieve their common goals.

The new executive is as follows:  Mustapha Bah - President, Babucarr Danjo - P.R.O, Oly Sillah - Treasurer, Kabirou Touray - Secretary-general,  Fatou Darboe.
