UK Students Visit Gunjur Lower Basic School

A fifteen-member delegation from Pewesey Valley School in the United Kingdom last Monday visited Gunjur Upper Basic School in Kombo South.

In his remarks to welcome the visiting students, the Principal of Gunjur Lower Basic School, Mr Omar Ceesay expressed gratitude to the group for their tremendous support, describing Pewesey Valley School as true friend of Gunjur Lower Basic School.

He revealed that the friendship between his school and Pewesey Valley School would continue to be strengthened for the mutual benefit of the two.

For his part, Mr Lewis Smith, the group leader, said they are delighted to visit Gunjur Lower Basic School, because in his words, “their hospitality and kindness towards guests is second to none. 

Meanwhile, the link between Gunjur Lower Basic School and Pewesey Valley School was founded in 2002 when two teachers and two students from Gunjur Lower Basic visited Pewesey Valley School.
