The death of Mr. Baboucarr Gaye  is annouced at the Medical and Research Council Banjul the Gambia this afternoon , 30th  of October 2007. Gaye until his death was a media consultant who has effectively published articles on the AU Banjul summit of last year.

As a broadcast journalist he worked for the then Radio Gambia before taking up a job with the BBC in the late seventies. He is also the proprietor of citizen FM, a station which was closed down by government in 2001.
