Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbackeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, on Monday, ordered that Dodou Kanteh be taken to the Remand Wing of the State Central Prisons at Mile II, pending the outcome of a judgement in his case on November 20.
Senior Magistrate Mbackeh gave this order, after the accused pleaded guilty to charges of obtaining money by false pretence and escaping from lawful custody.
The Presiding Magistrate told the court that his order for the detention of the accused at the Remand Wing was meant to prevent Dodou Kanteh from jumping bail again. Sergeant 870 Touray represented the IGP in the trial.
