A Guinean national, Alpha Barry, was recently granted bail in the sum of D8,865 and will return to the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court for trial.

Trial proceedings are soon to begin in Alpha’s case as the prosecution and the court prepare the ground for the launch of the trial.

Alpha was formally charged with stealing a lady’s handbag containing a camera valued at D5000. The bag was also reportedly containing D2,515 and a mobile phone valued at D1,450.

The stolen properties were that of Fatou Bintou Barry and the theft allegedly occurred in October of this year at Churchill’s Town.
