FEGAMSO to host international Islamic conference

The Federation of Gambia Muslim Students Organisation (FEGAMSO) will from the 15th-17th June, 2007 host the international Islamic conference at the GTMI in Kanifing.

According to a press release from the organisation, the student body of FEGAMSO is hosting this international Islamic conference with their counterparts “Movement deseléves et etudiant de la Jamalatou Ibadou Rahman” (MEE/JIR) from Senegal.

The release also stated that the objective of this conference is to strengthen the propagation of Islam and the promotion of unity among Muslims in The Gambia and the entire Muslim Ummah.

According to the release, HE Dr Alhagie Yahya AJJ Jammeh President of the Republic of The Gambia will be the Chief Guest of honour of this occasion.
The release also added that FEGAMSO is also seeking for more support and collaboration to make this day a success.
“This invitation is extended to the general public”, the release concluded.
