Two young men, Alagie Bah and Kebba Ceesay, were yesterday arraigned before Principal Magistrate Moses Richards of the Kanifing Magistrate’s court on charges of willful damage to property and breach of the peace, contrary to the criminal code of The Gambia.
When the charges were read to them, they both pleaded guilty to count one and not guilty to count two, adding that they did not use abusive language.
According to the charges, the duo on 5th July 2007, between 2-3 am at 4 Seasons Bar and Restaurant, located along Kairaba Avenue, willfully damaged five plastic chairs being the properties of 4 Seasons Restaurant.
The charges also indicated that the accused persons on the same day, time and place conducted themselves in a manner that breached the peace by using abusive words and behaving violently. Magistrate Richards at this juncture adjourned the case to 25th July 2007.
