In Tabara Samba’s Trial Commander SCU testifies

Malamin Ceesay, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), who is the Officer Commanding Serious Crime Unit of the Gambia Police Force on Tuesday, testified in the on-going alleged murder trial of Tabara Samba, before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.

In his testimony, ASP Ceesay told the court that he knew Ebrima Nyan, the deceased.

He further testified that he found Ebrima Nyan, the deceased’s corpse at the mortuary of the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH).

According to Mr. Ceesay, he filled up the autopsy form addressed to the Coroner, so that a postmortem could be conducted on the deceased in order to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death. “After the autopsy, a report was sent to my office which is still in my custody,” he told the court.

He later identified the said report in court.
