Prosecution, Defense to Address Court

Lawyer Amie Joof-Conteh, the defence counsel in the ongoing criminal trial of Tabara Samba, told the court yesterday before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrate’s Court that she was prepared to make her address since she could not get Dr. Ceesay to provide the court with his medical file.

The prosecutor, Commissioner Dibba, also stood up to tell the court that he was also ready to make his address.

Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh then adjourned the case to 11th September 2007, for the prosecution and the defense to make their addresses.

The accused, Tabara Samba, has been charged with murdering her husband by pouring hot oil on him, a charge she denied.
