Youth In Development And Change (YIDAC) on Saturday concluded a one-day project planning and consultative workshop for its members. Held at the Mediamatics complex in Kanifing, the objective of the workshop was to review the organizations mandate, its objectives, past activities and programmes, as well as to device strategic and specific plans for the organizations future.
Essentially, the event provided the opportunity for members to share and articulate their concerns and problems and ways and means of solving these problems. This is relative to what is of more substance to the organizations present areas of intervention, encompassed with societal needs.
For his part, the president of YIDAC Muhammed Ngallan, stated that the organization has engaged in very meaningful ventures that influenced many developments and inspired a host of young people towards improving their livelihood. Whilst lamenting on the organizations financial constraints, Mr Ngallan disclosed that it had engaged in in-house training and capacity building for its membership.
It could be recalled that YIDAC recently concluded a cloth distribution exercise in North Bank Region. This, the president said, was made possible through the generosity of the Gambian Youth Organization based in New York.
In conclusion, he said that the organization would continue this process consecutively by strengthen its membership and mandate.
