The sedition trial involving the former managing director of the Observer Company, Dida Abdi Jallow Halake was yesterday deferred again, due to the absence of the presiding Magistrate Buba Jawo of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.
According to the court clerk, the case has been adjourned to August 13, 2008, for continuation.
It could be recalled that during the last sitting, the case was adjourned for the prosecution to open their case by calling in their witnesses.
The former Observer boss was, in June 2008, charged with sedition and giving false information contrary to the laws of The Gambia.
He earlier on pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.
