One Musa Sarr was, on Monday, appeared before the Kanifing Magistrates Court presided over by Principal Magistrate Buba Jawo, on a charge of attempted rape.
According to the particulars of the case, on 12th May, 2008, Musa Sarr between the hours of 10:00 pm and 11.00pm, on the streets of Kanifing, unlawfully attempted to have carnal knowledge of a girl (name withheld) without her consent, claiming that he was a police officer and was going to arrest the girl in question if she refused to comply.
Reacting to the charge preferred against him, Musa Sarr pleaded not guilty.
Police Prosecutor Corporal 358 Sarr at this juncture applied for an adjournment which was granted by presiding magistrate Buba Jawo.
The case was adjourned to September 22nd for continuation of the proceedings.
