Tijan Hamson, a Nigerian, was on Wednesday arraigned before Sainabou Wadda-Ceesay of the Kanifing Magistrates Court for dealing in counterfeit currency.
He was said to have been found in possession of false euro notes in Serrekunda sometime last year. He however denied this. The presiding magistrate however granted him bail in the sum of D50,000 with two Gambian sureties.
The case was adjourned to the 17th of February 2009. Prosecutor ASP Bojang stood in for the Inspector General of Police.
