One Pap Bala Baye was on Monday arraigned before Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake of the Kanifing Magistrates Court charged with negligent driving.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accuse on the 26th of January 2009, while driving from Banjul on the Old Jeshwang Highway, carelessly knocked down one Halifa Jaye, thereby causing his death.

When the charge sheet was read, the accused pleaded not guilty. He was given bail in the sum of D10,000. The case was adjourned to 23th February2009.
