Dunes Casino and Resort located around Palma Rima Beach, Kololi, last Saturday February 14, 2007, held a massive clean-up exercise at their premises and its environment.

Mr Charles Fielder, Costruction Engineer and Son of the Proprietor, speaking to the Daily Observer at the site of the exercise said, every month his company joins the Gambian leader’s monthly calls for ‘Operation Clean the Nation’ (OCN) exercise.

He added that it is part of his company’s efforts to complement the Gambian leader’s vision to make The Gambia a clean and healthy nation within the sub-region, Africa and the world at large.

Mr Fielder expressed his delight to the Gambian leader, of what he decribed as his tireless efforts to transform The Gambia into more mordern economic supper power in the world, through his open door policies, transcending investment.

Mr Junkung Njie, Supervisor at the Dunes Casino and Resort, also described the clean-up exercise as a wonderful step towards achieving the country’s sustainable development efforts. “The cleaning exercise is really good for the country, especially Tourism Development Area (TDA). It has also made our work lots more easy, through provision of conducive working environment for our staff,” he said.
