The West African Insurance Institute in Kotu, recently held its 27th graduation ceremony at the Jamma Hall, Kairaba Hotel.

Speaking at the colourful ceremony, Dr Prince Mike Ikupolati, Director- General of the institute, described this year’s academic programmes as excellent, with a total enrolment of 30 students.

According to him, arrangements are in the offing for the introduction of new courses, such as Financial Services, Tourism, Banking and Finance, Law, and Accounting. The various diploma courses, he said, were earlier approved by the Government Council as they are important areas within the sphere.

He further stated that the good job done by WAII is instrumental and in line with the growing number of professionals that are currently making meaningful contributions to the sector in the sub-region.
