NAWFA ends capacity building agro-enterprises workshop

A two-day capacity building workshop for Sesame Growers Association and Women on Agro-enterprise Development, in collaboration with National Agriculture Women Farmers Association, NAWFA, recently ended at Kuntaur Wharf Town in Niani district CRD.

In her opening remarks, Chairperson of National Executive Committee (NEC), Mrs. Jainaba Njie spoke on the importance of the training workshop. She said “if women are capacitised in the area of small-scale enterprise food security will be attained. She advised the participants to take up the training seriously.

For her part, Mrs. Mansata Jabbie, also speaking at the ceremony said they were orientated on sheep-fitting, gardening and poultry production, adding that they will make the best use of the training.

Mr. Saikou Jatta, a facilitator lamented on the need for a year-round-gardening to enable them produce a good balance diet for the populace.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Hamang Komma thanked CRS for funding the training, adding that with more training food self-sufficiency will eventually be attained.
