A football competition organised by the the Diocesan Youth Committee (DYC) ended over the weekend, at Lamin village.

The competition, which featured both male and female categories, was staged in memory of the late Therese Ayo Gomez, a former executive member and one of the pioneers of Diocesan Youth Committee.

Gaston Mendy’s second-half goal helped St. Francis Youths of Kunkujang Mariama beat Blessed Sacrament Youths of Kanifing 1-0 to lift the giant trophy in the Boys final, while St. Kizito’s Youths emerged the Queens in the Girls category after a 1-0 win against Holy Trinity Youths.
