A confirmed offender of laws of The Gambia, Kemo Jawneh, could spend the next six months in confinement if the verdict delivered by magistrate Mbackeh is any guide.

Jawneh, who has been convicted by different courts of law in the country, was this time around convicted for attempting to commit robbery.

Before delivering his verdict, Senior magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke highlighted the need to mete out punishment to people of Jawneh’s ilk. This, he underlined, would serve as a deterrent to most youths in New Jeshwang who want to settle down to crime as a source of livelihood.
