Nyofeleh Gets AmbuThe Antouwa- Banjul Challenge charity based in the Netherlands Thursday donated a new ambulance to the community of Nyofeleh, in Kombo East, Western Region.
Lamin Jammeh, the Secretary General of Nyofeleh Village Development Association was instrumental in making the donation a reality.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Chairman of Autouwa-Banjul Challenge, Corr De Blessa told the gathering that his organization is out of provide services to Gambian communities which promote high ethical standard among others.
He used the historic occasion to commend the community of Nyofeleh for being hardworking and friendly.
He also showered encomiums on the Gambia leader for his significant contribution to the health sector and other spheres of development. Mr. Blessa expressed his organization's unreserved resolve to continue to complement government efforts in all of its development endeavors.
Aja Janneh, the Chief of Kombo East, patted the donors on the back for the timely humanitarian gesture. He said that the ambulance could not come at a better time, noting that the community of Nyofeleh is very appreciative of the gesture.
For his part, the National Assembly member for Kombo East Hon. Lamin Bojang thanked the donors for the support, adding that the ambulance will go a long way in serving the community of Nyofeleh and environs.
The Alkalo of Nyofeleh also spoke at the occasion which was well-attended.
