Domingo Yala, a  Bissau-Guinean nationality, who was alleged to have been stabbed to death by one Pa Ismaila Secka of Old Jeshwang last Monday, was on Wednesday laid to rest at the Old Jeshwang cemetery.

Marie Yala, sister of the deceased, said her brother Dominic had been residing in the country for the past ten years. She said while she was trying to separate her younger brother and Ismaila, she suddenly saw Ismaila with a knife. He then stabbed the deceased twice on the left hand and the neck. Mr. Yala was then rushed to the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) where he was pronounced dead. He was laid to rest on Wednesday evening by his relatives, friends and sympathisers at the Old Jeshwang cemetery.

The Daily Observer has learnt that Ismaila Secka, who is accused of killing the deceased, was arrested by the police at the Kanifing Estate.
When contacted to confirm the story, Inspector Sulayman Secka, the Police Public Relations Officer, said he had no knowledge of the incident, noting that he is currently in Janjangbureh.
