I will travel in March – do I still need to take malaria tablets?

Thursday, November 15, 2007
Malaria exists all year round but is at its peak during and immediately after the rainy season (June/July – around November).
Especially when only staying for a short time it might not hurt to take prophylaxis even in March.
When staying longer you might want to bring stand-by medication in case you get sick but mosquito bite prevention and being alert when feeling sick are essential in terms of avoiding malaria.
