The treason trial of the 21st March 2006 abortive coup, involving four security officers and four civilians, is expected to resume today before Justice Agim of the High Court.
The eight accused persons have been charged with having made an attempt on the 21st March 2006, to overthrow the democratically elected government of The Gambia.
Alieu Jobe and Tamsir Jasseh have both been charged with an extra count of aiding and abetting the escape of Col. Ndure Cham from justice.
The alleged mastermind of the plot, former Chief of Defence Staff Col. Ndure Cham, is still at large.
