Tuesday, August 21, 2007

The Western Region branch of Red Cross recently played host to their Senegalese equivalents from Parcelle, Dakar.

As part of the visit, a week-long camp was held in Sanyang village in Kombo South and the camp brought together 150 members from both sides.

In an interview with this paper, the Chairperson of the Brikama link, Mr. Matarr Saidykhan, said it has now become a culture for the two links to be engaged in exchanges of this nature, disclosing that the link between them and their Senegalese counterparts was established since 1992.

He added that the visit was a sort of a familiarization one aimed at cementing the already existing cozy relations between the two links.
