Mr Mabou Touray, the proprietor of the former Spy Bar now renamed Jakarlo, is organising a live concert featuring Ami Colle, Mapenda Seck and Pacotille on Friday and Saturday 5th and 6th January 2007 at Jakarlo, Senegambia.

At the moment Ami Colle is the new mbalax queen in Senegal, with a debut album been orchestrated by the Jololi hit band of Youssou Ndoure, selling like a hot cake in Badibbu market.

Mapenda Seck for the first time to be backed by the Youssou Ndoure band also, has a top-selling album under his belt.

Both Ami’s and Mapenda’s albums were ushered simultaneously and it was like a double bomb-blast in the ears of the Senegalese music buyers.

Along with them, will be the professor of all rappers, Pacotille. He is a very popular act with passionate voice and ecstatic stage demeanour.

Interestingly for the first time in the history of Gambian showbiz, Mabou Touray is going to unveil the heaviest sound system in town- Soundcity this weekend. So don’t miss it.
