Samger stay on course for league title

Samger beat Ports Authority 1-0 on Monday, to stay on course for the Division One league title. The only goal was scored by Lamin Samteh in the 60th minute of the game after several missed chances from both sides. The result saw Samger cut the gap on leaders, Wallidan, by one point, while Ports Authority's’ deteriorating form shows no signs of ending.
The Ferry Boys’ poor run of form forced the club management to terminate the services of coach Ebrima Cham-Joof on May 18, and since the coming of Manlafi Fofana as the caretaker coach, there is still no sign of improvement. In another Week Sixteen fixture on Monday, Armed Forces drew goalless with Interior in an all-security affairs at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
