Sea View win at last

Thursday, March 27, 2008
Sea View FC have finally halted their winless run in National league with a dramatic 2-1 win against Gambia Ports Authority in their rescheduled match played at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium on Tuesday.

The Hotel club benefitted from a first-half own-goal before striker Pateh Nyan double the advantage moments later.

The Ferry Boy later rallied but could only pull a consolation - courtesy of defender Bun Gaye.

Tuesday’s victory did not only end Sea View’s poor run of form in the domestic league, but also helped coach Alhaji Sarr have an edge over his former club - Ports Authority - and in effect move up to ninth position on seven points.

The relegation escapees will return to action today, this time against, league champions, Real de Banjul, at the Independence Stadium, Bakau.
