Sait Matty-Africell beat Bakau United 1-0 to prevail in the Bakau derby tie at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium on Saturday.

The solitary goal victory, which comes hot on the heels of an empathic 3-0 win over Samger during the midweek, has propelled coach Pa Suwareh Faye led-side to third position on the table with 17 points, as the first round fixtures come to a dramatic end.

Elsewhere on the same day, Gamtel gave away a first-half 2-0  lead and settled for a 2-2 draw against Ports Authority at the Independence Stadium.
