Can Maccassa Take Both Cups?

Monday, October 29, 2007

The Serekunda East Nawettan season has almost come to an end with Macassa eyeing for both the knock-out and the league finals.

Maccassa’s participation in both finals came when they beat Culture on Sunday in the knock-out semi finals by 10-9 in a post penalty shoot-out, and further went on to beat Zurich in their rescheduled match on penalties.

Bantaba trashed Wales to reach the Knock-out finals against Macassa on Sunday 27th October 2007.

Bantaba has one of the best teams with the youngest striker in this year’s competition, Baboucarr Sonko, known by his fans as Sanchez. His dribbling skills andspeed on the ball made him one of the leading goal-scorers this season and took Bantaba to the finals after three years of effective participation.

Will he score in the finals against Macassa where you have Emanuel Mendy whom all regard as the best defender this year so far, in both the Nawettan and the GFA second division league?

The wonder boy Omar Jasseh, Waterman, will resume play in the knock-out final after missing their semi final game against Zurich.

He is known as a threat to defenders, with ability to score from any angle.
