Singer Pa Omar Jack, 27, has made all Gambians proud by producing an eight-tracker album that can, every sense, square up with the works of other big names in the Senegambia music scene.

With his landmark debut effort, the Ebo Town-based up-coming star has succeeded in bringing back the Gambia’s lost glory in the Mbalax world.
Described as a masterpiece, the album features the likes of Kebba Taylor, the acclaimed Gambia’s instrumentalist and Modou Kara Gaye.

In an interview with this paper yesterday, the elated Pa Omar Jack said that the album would be available in record shops in town by next week.

He elucidated that the album tackles a lot of interesting and topical issues, adding that it is sponsored by the National Aids Secretariat with support from Vega, Ultra Soft and Paradise Suites Hotel.

Pa Omar further revealed that it took him almost four years to able to complete the work of the album. He said: “I took time to do this album because I always want to give my fans something that is of quality and standard; so thanks to my able manager Lamin Manga I was able to come up with this debut album”.

Pa Omar who is now widely known as Fish and Chips went on to thank NAS his main sponsor, Ousman Jassey of Ultra Soft, Amie Lette & husband Modou Ndow of Paradise Suites, Aisha Nije & husband at SBEC and all those who helped him in making his dream a reality.

He therefore urged his fans to rush to Kerewan Sounds to grab a copy of the album.
