The Serekunda West Sports Organisation (SWESO) has finally decided to call off all matches of the 2007 nawettan championship due to the month of Ramadan.

Speaking in a telephone interview with Pointsport yesterday, the Secretary General of SWESO, Pa Sulay Jobe, said that teams are complaining for fatigue due to the month of Ramadan.

“Most of the players are keeping fast and the number of spectators attending matches is becoming lower every day so we decided to call it off up to October 18, 2007,” he pointed out.
 He added that the last game was yesterday between Luzan and Jollof in the first round of the knockout championship.
“The fixtures would remain the same only the dates would change,” he stressed.
