The governor of Western Region recently inaugurated the World Bank-funded Water Pyramid project in a colourful ceremony in Sibanor.
The project, aimed at providing potable water for the people of Sibanor by using simple and sustainable technologies, was funded through the CCF at the tune of 150,000 euros and was executed by a Holland-born expert in water management.
Addressing the ceremony, CCF Country Director, Mr. Enstance Casseh, stressed the importance of clean, safe drinking water to the daily life of an individual. He pointed out that CCF is committed to the promotion of the welfare of children and that provision of water is another way in achieving this.
Mr. Casseh said children have various needs, including access to clean, safe drinking water.
For Mr. Kasseh, access to clean and safe drinking water is a vital element in efforts to reduce poverty.
