In what appears to be a tacit response to the Operation Clean the Nation call, the Suso Promotional Foundation headed by Musa B. Suso last Saturday embarked on a massive cleaning exercise in Sukuta, Kombo North. 

Speaking to this paper in an interview, Musa Suso said that his organisation joined forces with some residences of Sukuta to clean their environment, adding that the cleaning exercise was well-attended.

“We organised the cleaning exercise as part of efforts to answer positively to President Jammeh’s clarion call for Gambians to keep the environment clean,” he said.

According to Suso, his organization will continue to participate in any development -oriented activity saying: “We are out to contribute towards the development of Sukuta and beyond. So we are urging everyone to join us in our strive to empower Gambians.”

The former Kombo North National Assembly member went on to thank the youths and women of Sukuta for coming out en masse to take part in the Operation Clean the Nation.
